Flashback Friday

I miss my childhood. It is filled with wonderful memories I have shared with my parents, grandparents, sister and friends. I loved being a kid and miss the days when life was simpler and you didn't have to worry about all the things you have to today. Every Friday and I going to post a movie, band, toy I played with, show I watched or whatever that reminds me of the good old days. First thing from my childhood? My favorite TV show: Salute Your Shorts. I loved watching this show so much! I don't really have a favorite character but I always thought Michael was cute :)

 We run we jump we swim and play

 We row and go on trips

 But the thing that lasts forever are our dear friendships!

Never Forgotten ♥

10 years ago today I lost one of my best friends. I was only 13 and she was the first grandparent I lost. Only 9 days later I lost my grandfather. They were the best grandparents I could have asked for. My grandmother (I am named after her and my other grandmother) was always there for me. In our family she was known as Big Sara and I was known as Little Sara. She loved to color, her soap operas, Chipper Jones, picking butter beans and her husband. It was hard on our family when she started showing signs of Alzheimer's. I'll never forget how it changed her mentally. She acted in ways that weren't in her character. It still hurts today and I think of her and my grandfather often. All 4 of my boyfriend's grandparents are still alive and I constantly remind him of how lucky and blessed he is to still have them around. I only hope that one day I can be half the woman that she was. I miss you Meme and I can't wait to see you again one day.
