About 2 months ago I visited my favorite antique store here in Lynchburg, Sweet Pickin's. I found this fantastic gold frame for about $9 and decided I wanted to do something with it. Sweet Pickin's carries the milk paint line from Miss Mustard Seed and I bought a sample size of her milk paint in flow blue. It came out beautifully! I got some fabric from Joann's that matched and using my staple gun, I stapled the fabric to the back of the frame. The frame isn't in the best spot to show off its glory but I love it :) Simple way to add some spruce to your wall and a great way to match the rest of your decor!
I love the line of milk paint from Miss Mustard Seed. You can buy samples at stores that carry it or regular bags of it. It comes as a powder that you mix with water and the best part is you control how dark or light you want the color! You can see in the frame on the bottom some gold color sticking out and I love that. This paint is great if you want that chippy look. And if you are painting a raw piece of wood that has not been finished you don't have to prime it! The paint will soak in and all you have to is seal it in afterwards. This truly is a versatile paint!
